Product Description:
Iron Chef is an innovative cooking competition from Japan. Originally produced by Fuji TV, Iron Chef combined the excitement of a one on one sports competition with gourmet cooking.
The title Iron Chef comes from the original Japanese title, Ironmen of Cooking.
The bamboo steamer is made from all natural bamboo with an authentic handmade Chinese design. The double-woven lid allows the steam to hover in the top while the bottom keeps the vegetables from soaking in water. One of the healthiest methods of cooking, steaming allows for the foods natural oils and flavors to be released so that no oils are needed.

I use this for large parties, including our annual Chinese New Year Party. I also use it when the kids are home from school or we have a lot of company. It works well even in the electric wok.

We have used this only once so far, so I feel we are still on a learning curve. Some of the meat (lower compartment) was overcooked and some of the vegetables (upper compartment) were under cooked. We used a standard wok with water as the steam source. At least we feel comfortable that the food is touching bamboo, rather than some sort of man made material.
