I got this for my husband because he loves watching Good Eats on TV. Having the DVDs is awesome because you can just watch one episode for the kind of food you want to cook. AB makes my husband feel more comfortable cooking foods, like whole chickens and steaks, that we really don't have much experience with. We both learn some new tip or trick with every episode! The "Ask Alton" segments also answered questions that I had that weren't addressed already in the episode. AB is fun to watch and makes you really think about what is going on when you are cooking. This is a great addition to any cook's library!

It's so much easier to watch someone organize and you follow immediately after. AB's explanations always keep you from just following blindly.
