Nice job, Alton. The passion you have for a solid, home cooked meal knows no bounds. This set was a delight from start to finish. (And sorry about the shoulder.)

I purchased this DVD set for my husband as a birthday present. We were not lucky enough to catch the show when it originally aired and thoroughly enjoyed getting to see the original concept. We especially enjoyed the commentary by Alton Brown of how the show evolved while taping. We love having this and could easily watch it over and over.

    What our Kitchen Experts Say
A general rule with supermarket shopping is that the more a piece of meat has been fussed with, the more expensive it will be- that's why boneless, skinless chicken breasts are so much more expensive than if you just bought a whole chicken. Save money and buy a whole chicken, then cut up into individual pieces. Freeze what you won't use immediately, then use the carcass to make homemade chicken stock.
