The housing is comprised of a double walled vacuum-sealed stainless steel thermal carafe, which maintains flavor and temperature longer than other coffee makers. A wonderful pause-and-serve feature allows you to remove the carafe mid-brew if you can't wait for it to finish and a built-in water filtration system removes chlorine and limescale! Wish this was a 12 cup. Also filter basket must be aligned perfectly or you get a grounds mess. Otherwise, really nice looking and easy to use.
