I have been using my board for several weeks now. It is the largest plastic board I have seen (not huge or anything). I prefer wood (John Boos cutting boards) but my last board was retaining too many odors. I bought a new wood board and this plastic board for smelly jobs (onions, peppers, garlic, etc.). My knife is very sharp and there are no visible marks on the board...cleans easily - no odors or stains. I use it on top of my wood board, and it stays securely in place. I highly recommend this product (as does Cook's Illustrated Web site).

What our Kitchen Experts Say
When you need to gather up your chopped ingredients on your cutting board, don't scrape with the edge of your knife; it will dull the blade. Instead, flip the knife over and use the non-sharpened edge to collect, then transfer, your ingredients to the pan.
