Product Description:

The Programmable Krups 1100-watt coffee maker provides fast efficient brewing with a flavor control aroma switch that maximizes flavor extraction. It offers a full standard 12-cup capacity, 60-oz. water reservoir with a DuoFilter water filtration system that removes chlorine for better taste and reduces mineral deposits for longer machine life. The cascading brew head delivers a shower of hot water to ensure even flavor extraction and the pause and serve feature allows interruption any time during the brew cycle. The programmable features include a programmable clock to set the daily start time, a programmable auto-off from 1-5 hours, an empty water reservoir detection shuts unit off automatically if empty, a highly visible blue illuminated LED control panel, an audible signal when brewing is complete and a descaling indicator measures brew time and calculates when descaling is necessary.

Nice machine

Although this coffee maker isn't as sturdy as the 16 year old Braun Aromaster it replaced, it makes an excellent cup of coffee. The transparent tube that shows the water level occasionally gets a big bubble in it that renders it useless, but it seems that poring the water in slowly takes care of the problem. Alll in all, a nice machine--I hope it holds up.

Plastic smell

This is the 3rd coffee maker I have purchased in the last 6 months. Every one I get has a terrible melting plastic smell after the pot is brewed. I thought going back to a glass carafe would eliminate this problem.

Replacing same brand but 10 cup vs. 12 cup which is ideal for the tow of us. The other one last over 8 yrs and we expect the same durability and reliability from this Krups.
