Winner of the European iF Design Award, the Canteen double wall glasses can be use the whole year round. You can use them for your cold drinks in summer and hot drinks in winter. They are made of a very strong but yet light weight glass (borosilicate glass). They can safely go in the dishwasher and microwave. No coaster needed. Bodum's insulated glassware is made from durable Borosilicate glass. Borosilicate glass is a strong heat-resistant glass that weighs less than traditional glassware. Used to make scientific lab glass, borosilicate glass (medical grade glass) is stronger than traditional "soda-lime" glass and can be used for everything from drinkware to cookware. Some people may perceive the glass to be "thin" as they hold it. It is important to understand the difference between borosilicate and soda lime glass. Borosilicate glass doesn't need to be as thick as traditional glass to be just as strong. Borosilicate is simply a different type of glass that is resistant to temperature swings and scratching. Because the particles are held together so tightly, borosilicate glass is dishwasher safe and will not become cloudy over time; you can rest assured that after 100 cycles, the glass will be as clear as the day you bought it. Simply treat it as you would any glass product and it will stand up to every day use. Dishwasher & microwave safe.

Bodum insulated, double wall glass is handmade by expert artisans. Because this glass is mouth-blown, each one may have slight differences in height, thickness & weight. We suggest placing the liquid first and then the ice. Please also avoid using metal spoons or placing the glass into a crowded dishwasher. These glasses will help to keep hot drinks warmer and cool drinks cooler. For best results retaining heat, pre-heat the glass before use.

Great glasses that I use for everyday. Very light--a friend thought they were plastic. More durable than I thought.

The glasses are very nice. I use them for coffee and my husband likes them for cold drinks.
Keeps hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold.

I love these glasses! I put a tea bag into one of them fill with cold water, microwave for 1 1/2 minutes. The outside of the glasses are cool to touch & the tea is hot. Cold beverages will not make the glasses sweat either. They seem pricy at $10 a glass, I just hope I don't break one.
