These knives are a great starter set for home cooks. The weight feels good and it's a great variety of blades for a home kitchen. As you add to your collection, the block has extra slots for additional pieces.

Sharp strong knives. Also came with a smaller curved one I figured out is excellent for peeling skin off nectarines, apples...Really we're very pleased with the set. Extra slots for our old knives, too.

I've used Henckels knives in the past. When my husband said he wanted a full set of knives, I knew which brand to shop for. And neither of us are disappointed with the choice. They are great knives!
