With KitchenAid's immersion hand blender, you can blend soups and beverages then use it to fluff egg whites or chop herbs. Equipped with a powerful motor and a durable attachment that features a premium stainless steel blade, the KitchenAid immersion blender churns to the bottom of tall pots and pitchers with ease. The 5-ft. long power cord provides exceptional freedom. The immersion hand blender comes with a stainless steel attachment for blending everything from cold beverages to hot soups. The attachment measures 8-inches - perfect for blending inside deep stockpots or tall bar blender jars. A stainless steel splashguard covers the blending blades to help prevent splatters. Turn the immersion blender into a mini chopper and quickly chop herbs, vegetables, fruits, cooked meats, nuts and cheese with the four-piece attachment. It includes an adapter, stainless chopping blade, 3-cup chopper bowl and nonskid base that doubles as a lid for the bowl. Also included is a whisk attachment for whisking fluffy egg whites or whipped cream and a machine-washable, cotton twill, drawstring bag for storing. The accessories that come with your KitchenAid immersion blender are dishwasher-safe.

In direct comparison, this "stick blender" is the best value for the price that I have found. I use it mainly for smoothing smoothies :-) and Kefir.

Love it--and so do my kids. I have a son who works in an ice cream store and his favorite thing is to make malts with it. I love being able to crush ice with it when I make a smoothie. Perfect for pureeing soups.

The Immersion hand blender is a great asset to my kitchen. Smoooth soups and sauces are very easy to make. It handles easily, and It is easy to clean. It doesn't take up much space to store in my small kitchen. Wish I had bought it years ago. I love it.
