I comparison shopped this item and cooking.com came in THIRTY DOLLARS LOWER. I purchased Wusthof knives for my husband and wanted the sharpening steel to be from the same brand. Hubby has already tried it and raves about how it has sharpened his knives without removing more metal. Works great, and cooking.com offered a terrific price. Product arrived quickly and there were no problems!

What our Kitchen Experts Say
Contrary to what you might think, a sharp knife is actually safer than a dull knife. The important thing to remember when chopping and cutting is to let the knife do the work for you. A sharp knife allows you to do that, but a dull knife requires you to exert more pressure to get the job done, which means your hand has a greater chance of slipping.
