This is a well made coffee press with good weight and will not chip like glass presses. Surprisingly the metal press held the heat of the coffee well. The press screen itself is metal supported by plastic and edged with silicon rubber which is a replaceable part through the manufacturer. The non-skid bottom is also a welcome, well thought out, feature.
