I bought this as a back up as my electric coffee maker had died. It does make good coffee, just takes a little more time. I wish the glass carafe were a little thicker, I simply try and be very careful with it.

Either the metal cage is made to big or the glass is now thinner. The glass is not held in properly. I have had other presses by Bodum and they used to be better. The top of the plunger is now plastic causing the entire plunger to wobble. The metal stem is thinner as is the metal of the screen. All in all a significant downgrade in quality.
