I am familar with Zojirushi brand since I was a child. I bought a cheap thermal a few months ago but my housekeeper broke it. I spotted this because it can retain heat for a good length of time and it holds good amount of water i need for the day at home. It is made in Japan so you know it is a quality product. I was a little worry when I read a review that says water is only luke warm. I have been using this for a month and it keeps water HOT for a good full day. Easy to use/clean that hopefully my housekeeper will not break this one. I am very happy with it and might buy a portable one this fall/winter.

I already had the Zojirushi 1.85-L Carafe, but wanted a smaller one also. This is exactly what I was hoping for . . . the lid is enterchangeable with the larger carafe I have & it works great!
