I have had a Sunbeam egg cooker for 30 years with never a bit of trouble.
This Cuisinart does not turn itself off when the time is up nor does it make
any sound (as adverised) to indicate the process is complete. I hard boil
18 eggs every week for a salad bar and I am disappointed in this product.

Unfortunately I was unable to use as the prong did not fit any outlet. Direction
to get an electrician is costly. I do not think I will be able to enjoy it for some
time.

Hard Boiled Eggs the Easy Way!
  Would purchase again
by Eleanor (Mesa, AZ)  2 review(s) 4/5/2008
I bought this as a gift for my son. Since I own one and love it. It is the best one that I found. My previous ones didn't last long...the tray for the eggs cracked. But, the Cuisinart Egg Cooker is holding up well. I love that I don't have to take up a burner on the stove. The timer is great, you don't have to worry how long to cook the eggs. It's best for soft or hard boiled eggs, perfect every time. Poaching is a little tricky if you like them with a loose or soft yoke. You have to play around with the amount of water used so that it times it for that perfect poached egg you want. My son called when he received his Egg Cooker and used it right away. Thought it was the neatest idea. I couldn't believe how fast it was delivered to him. He liked how easy and quick it was to make the eggs. We both like the shape and how it looks and how easy and quick it is to clean up. My son and I definitely recommend this product.

What our Kitchen Experts Say
Poached eggs are great for brunches. You can even make them ahead of time, then store in the fridge in plastic containers filled with cold water. Heat them in simmering water when you're ready to serve.
