With a combination of traditional blade shapes and cutting-edge designs, Shun Classic has a knife for every need. This line features the beautiful woodgrain look of Damascus steel. In addition, the Damascus-look blade profile reduces friction when cutting, resulting in cleaner cuts and faster prep times, as well as better flavor imparted from your food. The Alton's Angled knives have a 10 degree angle that is designed to keep knuckles off the cutting board and the natural curve created between the blade and the user's arm also makes controlling the blade even easier and more precise.

Features:

VG-10 stainless steel is clad with 16 layers of SUS410 high-carbon stainless steel on each side, producing a 33-layer rust free Damascus look.

VG-10 "super-steel" is composed of carbon, chromium, cobalt, manganese, molybdenum, silicon and vanadium.

VG-10's Rockwell Hardness rating of 61 ensures that it takes and holds its incredibly sharp edge longer.

Ebony-black pakkawood handles with the unique "D" shape allows for a stable, easy grip.

Stainless steel bolsters and end caps.
