Product Description:
From the bestselling cookbook author and Food Network star comes an inspiring memoir (with recipes)--Paula Deen shares where she came from, how she transformed herself into a household name, and her exciting plans for the future.
A wildly popular author: Paula Deen has transcended her identity as a Food Network personality and cook, becoming one of America's newest and most beloved icons. With more than four million books sold, a wildly popular Savannah restaurant, and a new television show to premiere in September, Deen's empire, and fan base, only continues to grow.
The real Paula Deen: With her trademark Southern accent and charm, Paula is adored as a television star and mobbed at book signings. But her fans are clamoring for the story behind the recipes, and Paula is ready to share it. She wants everyone to know how she turned her life around. She puts herself out there, admitting that she made mistakes. She doesn't shy away from her sometimes troubled past-including her struggle with agoraphobia and a difficult marriage.
Quintessential Paula style: Engaging, inviting, and downright inspiring, Paula details how she built herself back up with will power, hard work and the support of community and friends. She shares her downhome values, her deep connection with her family, her newfound love, and how she came to finance, create, run, and sustain a wildly popular restaurant. Courageously honest, Paula speaks to her readers as bluntly and intimately as few women in the public eye have ever dared.

What our Kitchen Experts Say
If you find that your pie crust is browning too quickly, cut strips of aluminum foil and loosely wrap them around the edge of the pie. This will ensure the crust browns evenly and that you won't end up with crumbly, burnt edges.
