Product Description:
For the cook who likes to grill and create special appetizers like Italian panini, bruschetta and crostini, the Le Creuset panini press and skillet grill set works much like an outdoor grill (only faster), searing your foods on both sides at once, leaving them with rippled, blackened grill marks. With both of these pieces, you can grill quickly - prepare chicken breasts, burgers, swordfish or the classic panini. When cooking a panini, the bread becomes crisp and crunchy while the insides remain soft and succulent.
The Square Grill Pan With Panini Press Includes:
A 10.25-in. square grill pan, complete with long handle, a helper handle and spouts for pouring off excess oils
9-in. panini press with a round knob on top for holding.
Heat the press separately then place on top of your food and both sides will cook at once. Both have ribbed surfaces and are made of enameled cast iron, a material that retains heat longer and spreads it evenly for superior cooking performance.

Whether you use this product in tandem or grill pan alone...it is excellent. Bacon is nearly splash free and stays nice and flat, not swimming in fat. Grill pan is terrific for meats and fish, also allowing for fat to be below the grills. As a panini press...it is more efficient, while not automatic, it IS one less electrical appliance to plug in. As always, Le Creuset is a high quality product.

Love Le Creuset products and this is no exception. Takes a bit to get it seasoned, so expect some sticking the first couple of times you use it. Heats up exceptionally well, both the top and bottom can be heated, so grilled cheese sandwiches cook in a snap and no worries about it falling apart when you flip it, because there is no need to. Panini's turn out perfect, just a great addition to our collection.

Even though I choose this pan, my husband is the cook in our home. For me beauty is essential in our home. If we don't love it/anything, it's not in our home. We insist upon function and beauty in design. Le Creuset adds their reputation to our list of requirements. I've wanted a cast iron pan for some time. The Panini Press is great. . . keeps the splatters in the pan, allows whatever meat you are grilling to cook quickly and evenly, and the grill lines add to the overall presentation. I gave this pan a 4 instead of a 5 as it is difficult to clean.

What our Kitchen Experts Say
Treat your cast iron cookware with a little TLC, and it'll reward you with a lifetime (or more) of incredible kitchen performance. When cleaning, use a stiff-bristled brush and hot water to gently scrub away food residue. Never use soap on non-enameled cast iron- it will strip away the natural oils in the iron that gives it a stick-resistant finish.
