While the mortar is a bit small for large jobs, it is still functional and very classy. It looks good while in use or just sitting on the counter. The price was just right.

What our Kitchen Experts Say
The mortar and pestle has been around for thousands of years and was originally used by pharmacists when administering medicine. It's still around today because it works so well, and you don't have to be a pharmacist to use one. It's a great kitchen staples because it does an excellent job of grinding spices or even making pesto and guacamole.
