Unlike other coffee makers with a burner that quickly bitters the taste of coffee, the Fresh Brew Stainless Steel Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker comes with a stainless steel thermal carafe that keeps the coffee hot for hours without altering the taste. It also features an electric timer clock module to set the coffee to complete brewing by the desired time. Other features include:

Pause-to-serve for convenient serving
Easy-to-read LCD display for clock and timer settings
Detachable stainless steel filter basket for easy cleaning
Retains heat at 144°F for 10 hrs. or 117°F for 24 hrs.
Auto Shut Off

We drink a lot of coffee. My last, and best, coffee maker had a broken cord, and I did not want to spend a great amount of $$ for another. This one looked good, had good ratings, and was not too expensive. We are very pleased with it. It makes a good daily cup of coffee. The top can be difficult to turn to open, but it stays hot for quite some time. Not as good as the one I lost, but a surprisingly good replacement for under $100.

The coffee maker is simple and easy to use. It's beautiful and looks good on my counter. It makes great coffee. Overall, I am very happy with it. The only negative I would have to say is that the lid is very hard to turn. Other than that, it's great.

Best caraffe coffee maker for the home!!

Compared to Krups, this coffee maker trumps it. The coffee is hotter, carafe keeps coffee hotter longer, and no leaks like the Krups carafe brewer. This Zojirushi has been in service for a month without needing a reset of the clock and automatic brew setting. Glad I saw this featured on Cooking.com
