I have used thermal carafe coffee makers by another company and find them to be better. The Coffee stays hotter for a longer period of time. I am extremely disappointed in this coffe maker. The price was far more than the other brand and If I had not gotten it with the Amex rewards program I would have definitely returned it.

This coffee maker has a basket type filter and the coffee is a little weak. The thermos does keep the coffee warm and the controls are clear and easy to use.

Not at all happy with this coffee maker - The coffee does not stay hot and I am returning it.

I love all of the KitchenAid products so I am very surprised at this coffee maker.
