Product Description:

The Architec Preps Mixing Bowl Set is constructed of durable food-safe melamine that resists stains and bacteria. The colorful bowls feature a non-skid "gripper" base to help prevent spills and a flared top for easy transfer of ingredients to and from pots and pans. The bowls are dishwasher and freezer safe and nest together for easy storage. The set includes one of each of the following sizes: 2 quart, 3 quart, and 4 quart capacity.

I find these bowls annoying.

The edges are difficult to grasp, which makes mixing awkward and pouring almost impossible. I cannot hold them with one hand while scraping with the other, which negates the purpose of having those weird pour spouts. On the bright side, 2 of their colors are fun (the 3rd color is a bit dreary), the rubber bottom is helpful, they nestle well, their depth is good and the price is reasonably low. Still, I would opt for the Zak nested bowls instead because I prefer their weight and and more substantial rims.

I purchased this product to give to a friend who fell in love with the ones I currently have. I can't say enough about the quality of these bowls. Not only are they environmentally friendly and attractive, but they are soooo functional. My three-year-old often helps me cook, and they stand up to everything he dishes out ... including NOT sliding off of the counter and crashing onto the floor. They are easy to store and scratch resistant and top-rack dishwasher safe. I also love that I can pour out of them without spilling.
