Wine Decanter
  Would purchase again
by wayne (Long Beach, NY)  1 review(s) 1/30/2009
Great value and was shocked it was even available on Food Network. When pouring wine into the decanter, wine cascades around the whole interior, a cool waterfall effect, which probably help in letting the wine breath.

Poor quality wine decanter
  Would not purchase again
by Mike (Brick, NJ)  1 review(s) 1/8/2008
The decanter has a poor appearance upon delivery. Looks far better online. Does not appear to be quality glass. The bulging design on top is not pleasing. The finish of the top of the decanter is not of good quality. The overall weight of the decanter is quite light and insubstantial.

What our Kitchen Experts Say
Decanting wine is not as complicated or wine-snobbish as it sounds. In fact, if you're enjoying a particularly good, old bottle of wine on a special occasion, you'll want to perform this step to maximize the wine's taste and aroma and separate out the dregs. Open the wine several hours before you plan to drink it, then pour into the decanter. This wil allow the wine to "breathe" and open up, and will also make sure any sediment is left in the decanter, not your glass.
