These glass bowls, in three sizes ( 2-, 4- and 7-cup) nest for convenient storage, and can be used for baking, serving and refrigerating food. The blue plastic covers provide airtight seals. The set is microwave-, freezer- and dishwasher- safe; the glass dishes are also oven-safe.

These are good for storage but pretty enought for the table. I too found the lids almost impossible to put on at first. I persevered and then just left the lids on the bowls for several days. They have stretched and now come on and off easily.

Most people take plastic containers to work and reheat item in them. I was looking for an item that was nonreactive to microwave and something I could use to cook for one.
