The nice thing about the oval shape (and the reason I bought these) is that the spoons can reach into places that traditional round spoons cannot - slender spice jars, etc. The set it very sturdy and I can tell they will last for years and years!
I have always wondered why all of the spice boxes have a larger opening that appeared to be for a measuring spoon. None of my measuring spoons fit until now. Gone are the days of me laughing at my husband making a mess trying to shake out enough spice to fill the measuring spoons. I don't know if I'm just new to cooking, but the 1/8th teaspoon is great. To boot, these spoons are sturdy, and I hope they will last my lifetime.
These are of the best quality metal I've ever seen in measuring spoons. The oval shape is perfect for measuring directly from spice bottles. They should last the rest of my life and will be enjoyed with every use.
