temperature does not reach as expected and/or it takes to long to do so. it is just good enough to cook vegetables
I have used the grill about 3 tjimes and I don't feel the temperature is quite right according to the cooking quide for hamburgers it should be 325 amd around 7 min on each side but they are not done . I also cooked a large chicken breast @325 the out side of the chicken was almost burnt so I had to pull it off and put it in the oven to finish it. Please tell me it I'm doing something wrong .wished I had bought a grill with a lip on it .
The product was what i expected, no surprizes which is a good thing!
I am returning the 850 watt mini grill today. I t does not get hot enough for proper grilling. Using the "hand thermometer" with the grill on high, you can hold your hand one inch from the cooking surface all day long. It could have been a fault with the one grill I had, but I don't think so. I plan to order the higher wattage 17 in. grill as a replacement.
Grill doesn't get hot enough to sear the food like a grill should. It cooks the food OK, but not any better than I could do in my frying pan. I do not recommend this product
I was looking for an Indoor Grill for my small apartment and from the description and pictures this seemed like a good one to buy. The temperature does not stay true to the setting dial. It is hard to clean the drippings from the underside of the grill panel. i had to continuously adjust the temp dial and some spots on the grill did not heat well at all which resulted in uneven cooking. would not buy this again or recommend it to anyone.
Product takes a long time to heat and a long time to cook. It is ok for grilled sandwiches(I out a brick on sandwich) I would not buy again. I guess I should have known the product would be cheap since the price was so low.
One of the products I gave as a gift did not have the users manual included. I only found out after I gave the gift.
I really like this grill, so much so, this is my second one. The heating element burned out just after 8 months of only using it once a week. I'll try it again, but will not purchase a 3rd time. I will go another route if this one does not last.
I've thought the grill was sturdier than what it is (similar to a George Foreman one). It does do its work, but the water tray is too close to the counter, therefore, if a lot of grilling is done, the water might get too hot for any surface that it is not heat resistant. Also, the water tray is too shallow and it extreme care is needed to carry the tray to dispose the hot oily water.
doesn't get hot enough, but I will keep it,doesn't cook sea food well
I think it needs a lid on it, when you cook steak that you like well done it needs a lid not to be in the open air. I think that it will be good for burgers and hotdogs, I like the easy clean, but wish i would have gotten the bigger one this is just to small .
HARD TO CLEAN UNDERNEATH GRATE. WOULD BE MUCH EASIER TO CLEAN IF IT WAS COATED WITH NON STICK ON THE BOTTOM OF THE GRATE INSTEAD OF JUST ON TOP. WOULD BE NICE IF IT WAS DISHWASHER SAFE ALSO. COOKS WELL AND STILL A PRETTY GOOD VALUE.
I tried to grill pork chops that had a bone, and the chops did not grill evenly. However I think that was due to the bone. The overall performance of the grill, minimal smoke and cooking time was good. The browning of the meat was a little less than expected, but not unacceptable.
This item works well as a grill but as getting a barbecue flavor forget it. It is smokeless and works well in that respect, It cleans up easily.
Would like to have had a lid to put on top like the grills outside have that keep the heat from escaping into the air. Vegetables are very hard to cook since they also need some steam to help cook.
Not what I thought it would be and I also ordered one for my daughter-in-law for her birthday. I am not sure that she will like it. The base is nothing but some kind of plastic and the grill is hard to clean. The only good thing is that you put water in the pan under the grill to cut down on smoke from the food. I guess I got what I paid for. Am going to get another one which will cost more with a lid. Will not order on line for an appliance again.
Well, it's true. You get what you pay for. Grill is good for vegetables, but do not cook meats. Does not have a good cooking element. Leaves it tough and gray.
Not totally smokeless but overall a good product for the money.
Works great!!!
