I bought this to replace an older pan that had a severely scratched bottom (due to years of cutting cakes on the detachable bottom of the pan). I used it to make a cheesecake last night and it worked wonderfully. This was a new recipe for me and I realized after baking that the recipe called for WAY too much butter in the crust. I think it's due to this that I had some butter leak from the pan. It was a very small amount and I had wrapped the pan with foil just in case. I think that with the corrected recipe there would be no leak at all. The nonstick sides are great and the latch is easy to work but holds firmly in place. The glass bottom is easy to handle and did not scratch when I sliced the cheesecake with a steel knife. I was a little bit leery of the glass bottom but I've been won over!
I expected minimal leakage of the springform pan but that is not what happened. Something must be wrong with the pan I ordered, it leaks all over the place. I am very dissatified with your product,considering the price I expected to be very pleased.
Wanted this so I could cut and serve on glass base. Looking forward to experimenting with fruit desserts, etc.
I did have a bit of batter leakage from the bottom of the pan. However, fnished result was perfect!
I finally replaced two aged pans with this gem and have to wonder now what took me so long. The glass bottom ensures even heat and non-stick performance, the pan didn't leak as some do, and the locking mechanism is secure. Don't hesitate to buy this pan.

One way to ensure a beautiful cheesecake is to properly care for your springform pan.To prevent warping, make sure to always position it on a flat surface before opening. Simply holding it in mid-air while opening will cause the pan to lose its perfectly round shape. When finished, be sure to wash by hand and let air-dry on dish towel placed on a flat surface. Store the pan in a box or other safe place so it won't risk getting dented by your other cookware or bakeware items.
