This is the most expensive piece of cookware I have ever purchased. I make batches of stuff and would often burn the bottom in my old thin stock pot. All that extra metal in the bottom of this one didn't seem to make that much of a difference. A batch of kitchri was burned at the bottom. It didn't burn as bad, and it cleaned up A LOT easier. I won't return the pot, and I know I will enjoy cooking with it. It's just not that much better.
