We love these aluminum rings! They are really nicely made --very smooth, one-piece aluminum, so not only is there no worry about rusting or welds to corrode or break, but they are naturally quite non-stick. We have been using them to poach eggs in, and we don't even need to butter them. They are very light, good looking, and a very versatile size. These feel like an amazing bargain at the $10 we paid for them.

The fact that they have the proper height to make mousse rings or whatever you choose and that they can go into the dishwasher is super. Aluminium is far better than any other product that will show rust spots! For that it's a great value for money.

Ring Molds
by Kotaro, NY
February 9, 2007

At most specialty shops these are made out of stainless steel and are considerably more expensive. Being aluminum they do oxidize a little, and deform easier, but they still serve their purpose well at a fraction of the cost. I purchased 3 sets and use them to mold tartars and such.

I'm using these for individual chocolate souffles - bc I don't like desserts that must stay in a ramekin. These are perfect - and similar to what some top chefs are using to make their indiv. desserts at restaurants. Also can be used for mini cheesecakes etc.

Thick well made ring molds. Since they are raw aluminum I think they will be hard to wash from food sticking. Maybe Teflon version would be nice or Stainless Steel.

When reading the size I thought it might be too narrow and tall. Upon receipt I used them for a dinner presentation and it proved to be the perfect size. I highly recommend them.

Bargain Mousse Rings
by Martin, PA
January 21, 2008

As a chef, I am always looking for ways to enhance my plates. I have been using cookie cutters as forms for doing specialty plated dishes for years.
When I saw these mousse rings, I thought, what do I have to lose by giving them a try.
To say they worked great is and understatement, they are fantastic. The perfect diameter, the right height. You can build a perfect stack, tuna, crab, greens, topping, then just lift the ring and your stack stays in a perfect pillar.
People have been asking me how I get the stacks so nice and even, well if they shop here at cooking .com, now they know.
I highly recommend these to anyone wishing to kick up their plated food presentations.

Ring molds
by adam, FL
January 22, 2008

My chef took off and took all his ring molds with him. these molds fit the bill. They are both sturdy and well behaved. They dont talk back and show up on time. Plus you can season them the same as you would a cast iron pan. Non Sticky! never talk to pans and never listen to british people

I purchased these rings for a Valentines Dinner I've been working on for the last few weeks. Can't really complain, just that thet are aluminum not stainless. When I recieved them, I thought well I could have had my dad cut these for me. Could've saved on shipment. Always a thought on ways to save money.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

Use your ring mold to create an ice ring for your next punch bowl. Simply fill with concentrated juice, so that as it melts it won't dilute your punch.
