It comes with two individual stainless steel chafing dishes which each hold 1.5 quarts. Each dish comes with clear dome PC lids. Each stainless steel chafing dish fits inside the pan holder, which can be removed so you can use the stainless steel warming tray alone. The stainless steel heating surface is durable and easy to clean. The warming tray has two cool-touch handles, four nonstick feet that offer stability, and three variable heat controls (low, medium, high).

I had a warmer tray when I was young and raising a family and it was so handy that I wore it out. My daughter, who has a family of her own, remembered that warmer and told in a conversation that she wished she had one. I checked Betty Crocker and found one.
