my father has the mezzaluna set but not in bamboo; i was pleasantly surprised that this one is made of bamboo so it's extra durable. will be interesting to see how long the blades stay sharp. nevertheless, it's a great product and well priced. very happy with this purchase.

I had been looking for one of these after seeing one of the celebrity chef's use it. I love it! I use it all the time to chop fresh herbs. I highly recommend this product. Thank you Cooking.com for having exactly what I was looking for and at a great price!

This is really a handy tool, it chopped the parsley very quickly, when you make a tabouleh this is important. And the practical board is not too large, overall a nice kitchen addition.

I just purchased this and have only used it for chopping herbs (cilantro and basil) and it's wonderful. At the same time, I bought several Henckels twin signature knives and prefer the chef's knife for mincing garlic, ginger, etc. This does a perfect job on herbs and is incredibly sharp. The cutting board is a nice addition. The only negative feedback is that the herbs get caught between the two blades and it is somewhat awkward to deal with.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

Chopping with a knife isn't dangerous as long as your do it properly. Be sure to keep your fingertips tucked under your knuckles, claw-like, away from the blade.
