A very average toaster. I was hoping for something that would toast both sides of the bread evenly. Why is that so difficult? It's not any worse than another toaster, just didn't find any superior characteristics.

disappointed in defrost feature
by Angela, KY
February 11, 2007

I bought this mainly because my family likes frozen toaster strudels and they would burn before getting hot in center. So I thought the defrost feature would work for that, but it also burns them before center is warm. It did well on frozen texas toast on defrost. It doesn't toast evenly on both sides or even both slices for that matter. It's better than the toaster I had but for the price, I expected more. I guess there is no GREAT toaster out there.

I found the exact same product at Younkers for half the price! That didn't make me feel very good about buying this product from Cooking.com.

Cuisinart does it again!!

We were looking for a four-slice toaster and this one fit perfectly with our kitchen decor. I love how the adjustable slots hold everything from toast to big, thick bagels. The special settings are very nice too. We've only had this toaster for a couple of weeks, but my parents have had the two-slice version for almost a year with no problems.

After shopping around, I got the best deal (including the best shipping rate) from cooking.com. I would always recommend Cuisinart, but now I will also not hesitate to recommend cooking.com!

Have only used the toast feature on this product but it is great. I love the different browning selections so you get exactly the lightness and/or darkness you want. Love it!

I love this Cuisinart Toaster--It is great looking on my countertop--love the warranty that Cuisinart gives on all of their appliances--best out there. works great --every feature-- Bagles--Defrost--etc. have used this daily since purchase. This is the 3rd Cuisinart small appliance I have purchased-have food processor and coffee maker--extreamly happy with all.

I love having a toaster that browns even. It is great with bagels also. I really like it and it was worth the money.

This is, by far, the best toaster I've ever owned. It is attractive, it browns evenly and quickly. The defrost, warming and bagel settings are accurate. I would highly recommend it to anyone needing a new toaster.

We couldn't be happier with our new toaster. We eat bagels each morning and this toaster gets it evenly toasted and crisp on the outside and is just perfect. I was concerned about keeping the toaster looking good but as they recommended, I just spray a little window cleaner on a soft rag and it looks like new. I do recommend it.

Beautiful toaster

I needed a nice toaster for the lobby of a small hotel. This one is very attractive and not too bulky and wide. Ninety dollars seems like a lot of money for a toaster, but I would pay that again for such a great looking one. I give it four stars because the heating elements on the outside sides of the toaster get hotter than the others and cause browning to be uneven for the bread in those outer slots. This isn't a big problem, but it makes this appliance less than perfect.

I really like this toaster. It is compact! Yet, offers all the settings I use-defrost, bagel, cancel, reheat. Reheat is a new one for me I LOVEIT! Only thing I do miss is my old toaster had a pastry setting(HINT!) Thanks.

We purchased this toaster after spending a weekend at friends using it for toast, waffles, and bagels. Obviously we were so impressed with its consistent efficiency that we ordered one for our newly remodeled kitchen. The looks of the toaster were also a plus due to our new kitchen being equipped with ALL BRUSHED STAINLESS STEEL appliances.
