I've used this twice for meatballs and once for kabobs when the weather wasn't cooperating outside.... and it worked great! It is sturdy and the v-shaped meatball holders are perfect for medium or large sized meatballs... so nice to be able to bake them without them sitting in their own greasy drippings. I also like that I can use the pan without the meatball holders for other baking or roasting needs.
I make my meatballs in this pan all the time now! They bake while Not sitting in the grease, which makes a much healthier meal!
It worked exactly like predicted and as easy as anything. I made my own recipe and did two batches one at 400 degrees and one at 425. The 425 for 20 minutes gave it a little crust. So moist and perfect.
This is the greastest product we have ever used to cook meatballs in. The product keeps the meatballs out of the grease and clean up was very easy
I made the best meatballs I've made in a long time using this pan - whether it was the pan or the recipe or both but I'll certainly keep using it. Enjoy.
I tried to use this pan for chicken meatballs and it didn't work out too good. Ground chicken is very sticky and not easy to work with. The meatballs kept falling through the rack into the bottom of the pan. I ended up cooking them on a cookie sheet like I usually do. I'm sure it will be much better for beef or beef mixed meatballs.
I JUST RECEIVED MY MEATBALL BAKER LAST WEEK AND I MADE MY FIRST BATCH OF MEATBALLS ON SUNDAY, 2/12/12. THEY TURNED OUT EXCELLENT! I'M RECENTLY DIVORCED AND I'M GETTING BACK INTO COOKING AGAIN LIKE I DID WHEN I WAS A SINGLE SUCCESSFUL GUY. IT'S JUST MY SON AND I LIVING HERE. WE GOT TIRED OF EATING THOSE BLAND TASTING STORE BOUGHT FROZEN MEATBALLS. ENOUGH SAID ON THAT! I WHIPPED UP 15 - 2 INCH SIZE MEATBALLS, A RECIPE I FOUND ON THE FOOD NETWORK WEBSITE. I BAKED THEM FOR 40 MINUTES AND LET THEM SIMMER IN A REALLY NICE ZESTY PASTA SAUCE FOR AN ADDIONAL 30 MINUTES. THE CLEAN UP WAS A SNAP! THE NON-STICK SURFACE MADE IT SO EASY. I JUST RAN HOT WATER IN THE PAN AND THE REMAINS CAME RIGHT OFF. A SOAPY SPONGE WAS THE ONLY THING NECESSARY TO FINISH THE CLEAN UP. I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL I MAKE MY NEXT BATCH OF MEATBALLS! I'M ALSO GOING TO TRY MAKING SOME KABOBS IN THE BAKER TRAY. I'M TELLING YOU, THIS IS MOST DEFINITLY A GREAT PRODUCT FOR ALL COOKS, PROFESSIONALS OR AMATUERS. IF MY EX-WIFE WOULD HAVE HAD THIS PRODUCT, WHO KNOWS, I MIGHT STILL BE MARRIED! ONLY KIDDIN'. HEY RACHAEL RAY, YOUR THE BEST! HAPPY COOKING TO ALL!!!!!!
When I first saw this I was skeptical about how good the quality was going to be given the price. I was so surprised. The quality of the material is superior, clean up was a breeze and my meatballs came out amazing. All the grease falls to the bottom of the pan and it simply rinsed right off. I also used this to make a roast and stuffed mushrooms over Christmas and was very satisfied. This is a great product, expecially for the price and I recommend it for all types of cooks.
This is one of those items that's better "in person" than online. It makes meatballs spectacular...not greasy, and a nice crunch on the outside. This pan is also excellent for kabobs of all kinds and for roasting veggies. Sturdy, easy to clean, including the rack. We'll be trying other things (like stuffed peppers) in this pan too; a great idea and very good value for the price.
A very nice product for the price Not the thickest material nor coating but for the price an excellent value and with care should last a long time and produce loads of meatballs
no more meat ball mess
It is so easy to cook meatballs in this pan, no more one sided lopped sided meatballs. it was so easy to just make the meatballs and put them in the rack and cook them, using the drippings for the gravey. Delishous. Many other uses too.
This Meatball maker will make the best meatballs you have ever tasted. Nice crisp crust, moist interior, and I think they even taste better not having cooked in thier own fat.
I hardly ever make meatballs. When I saw this pan I decided to buy it. I found a recipe from Bobby Flays throwdown with a guy who had a 100 year old meatball recipe from his grandmother. The pan came on a Saturday. I decided to make meatballs subs for the Sunday football game. The meatballs were made Sunday and hour before the game. Make them a pretty good size and don't put much filler in them just enough to hold them together. I did have two slip through to the bottom, but that was no problem that was my fault I made them smaller then the rest. I baked 15 meatballs at 425 for 30 to 35 mins. This all depends on your oven also. They turned out great. I ate one before I put it on bread with the sauce. Clean up was even better. Non stick pan. Can't go wrong there. I love it. I'm going to try shish kabobs next time. Try this pan. For $19.95 you can't go wrong.
I love making meatballs for my sauce, I take pride in my meatballs, but as lately I found that they did not come out as round as I liked them, so I tried this meatball baker for the first time, being I always fried them. What a pleasure, they kept their shape and there was no splatter to clean up on the stove top. Not to mention that clean up was a breeze, all drippings were on the bottom of pan, and my meatballs did not lay in a puddle of fat. Thank you, will recommend to all my friends and co-workers.

Haven't used it for meatballs yet, but have used for other roasting uses. Chicago Metallic has always made quality products, and I have never been disappointed yet. Hard item to find in stores, but found it at Cooking.com. Thanks for carrying it.
This was a good buy. Used it right away and made some excellent meatballs. Was great having the meatballs not cooking in all that grease.
Does exactly what It was intended to do. The meatballs cook evenly and release so much fat into the bottom of pan. For someone thats been cooking for a long time this is great.
Easy to clean as well.
