I tried it on some tough, grisselly cuts and was vey pleased. Assists meat with absorbing flavors and herbs during the marinating and cooking processes.

This meat tenderizer is everything that they said it would be and more. I did not realize this when I made my purchase, but you can actually replace the blades if they ever wear out. It works like a charm, especially for marinading larger cuts of meat. I used it on a beef tri-tip and then marinaded it in a zesty italian dressing marinade for several hours. It came up great!

Better than those old mallets
by Michael, VA

This meat tenderizer is in a class by itself. It manages to tenderize a million times better than anything else I've tried without turning the meat into mush. I would definitely recommend spending the little bit of extra money to get the 48 blade over the 16 blade - it wil make your work much easier. I would recommend this meat tenderizer to everyone.

The first time I used it, the steak was a little tough. I didn't poke enough holes in the meat.

I bought the meat tenderizer's for gifts. I get so-o-o many compliments on meat
dishes that I prepare for others. They comment on the tenderness of the meats.(often its chicken) . I' ve had others tell me that , for older parents , it makes
a big difference in their abilities to eat meats. I have been thankful for what a
wonderful kitchen helper .. it has become for me in food prep. Thanks again .

crazy about meat tenderizer

November 24, 2009

I bought two. One for me and one for mother-in-law. I've used mine four times, different kinds of meat, and was surprised that it worked even better than I expected. I've been married, and cooking, for 44 years, and think this meat tenderizer is awesome! It's deer season here in southeast Texas, so I'll find out how durable this is.

Great for marinating any kind of meat headed for the barbeque. Obviously, can also be used in the kitchen when the temps are -18 C as they are now.

Very Good Value

I was a little concerned about this tenderizer.
After my first use I was very satisfied with it and think it is a good value.
I used it on a chuck steak that I have found usually tough.
After using the 48-blade tenderizer, I grilled the steak and it was very tender.
I would recommend this to everyone.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

You'll see chicken in the supermarket labeled as broiler-fryer, roaster, or stewing. These terms describe the size, not necessarily concrete rules for their best cooking method. You can stew, fry, or roast any size of chicken, though big roaster chickens can be a little difficult to broil.
