after both my husband & I have broken a handle off of a plastic measuring cup, I decided to go with these. they really aren't that heavy. sometimes I don't have the "steadiest" hand when measuring & the extra weight helps a lot with that. every measuring cup is marked on the inside, like the 1 cup has the 1/2 cup mark on it, etc... there's no way myself or my hubby can break these so I am sure they will last. I use these almost everyday & love them.
These are great measuring cups - designed to last a lifetime. They are very heavy duty - almost like mini-frying pans. I bought these to replace a different "last a lifetime" set which didn't. The handles were spot welded on and one eventually came off. It's not clear from the picture, but these cups are one-piece. The handle is not welded or riveted on to the cup - it's all one piece of metal.
The only draw back I can see with these cups is that they are kind of wide, so it will be a little more difficult to get into smaller bags, etc. to scoop out something. That's the only reason I didn't give them a 5-star.
i was pleased with my measuring cups and certainly would buy them again. will make great gifts
Awesome heavy measuring cups. The smaller ones don't tip when you are pouring items into them. I love these!
These are nice, but I wish the one cup measuring cup had graduated marks of 1/4 and 3/4 cup, not just the 1/2 cup mark.
