Elegant, contemporary design and ingenious functionality make our loop teakettle a favorite in the home and the design world. The brushed stainless version garnered significant attention as well as highest honors when introduced to the market. Our enamel-on-steel version is crafted using our AA German enamel, which is guaranteed not to fade. The kettle’s ergonomic handle fits comfortably in the hand for easy pouring, and its pleasant whistle reminds us why we like tea so much.
This teakettle is attractive but not terribly functional. Every time I pour water out of it, it dribbles. My husband has recommended that he punch a hole in the top so that it will vent enough to keep it from making such a mess. I feel very disappointed in the purchase.
Handle stays cool price a little high.
The teakettle works great but I am very disappointed with the color. I thought ebony was black. The teakettle is more of a gray color.
I think the kettle is beautiful but was upset to see that after using it 4 times,
the cover of the spout started to melt. I am planning on ordering a second one, and returning the first one in the hopes this will not happen again.
This is the second teakettle I have purchased in 6 months. The first was very unique looking, but had no whistle, the handle got very hot & the chrome pitted when I put it in the dishwasher.
I needed a teakettle that whistled, my husband uses it mostly & sometimes forgets to
turn the burner off when it is finished.
I really like the style of this teakettle, the whistle is unique & I know Chantal is a reputable company.
The only problem so far is that at first the lid was very tight & we didn't get it pushed in
completely all the time & heat was escaping through the lid causing it not to whistle.
It is loosening up a bit now & we are learning to push the lid on tightly.
We really like the teakettle, the materials & neat style. The handle is easy to grip & pour from & I especially like that the whistle can't be removed or left up, so we will always have a warning if we forget to turn the burner off - I think that is a very nice safety device. For a Chantal product this is a very good price.
For the perfect cup of tea, start with cool filtered water and bring to a rolling boil before pouring it over your teabag. Steep according to the directions on the tea package- different blends require different steeping times.
