Great Buy
by Birthe, NH

I bought the Dutch Oven to bake my European country bread in, WITH THE COVER ON.<br>Its perfect, bread is just like in Italy and Denmark, tasty, chewy and crusty.

Double Dutch oven
by roger, SC

Much too heavy for home use. Maybe good for campers, if you can truck it in.

Love this Oven.
by Steven, CA

I love this oven for it's quality and usefulness. I don't like how much money you have to pay for good cooking equipment these days but this one you get two for the price of one. That makes it a good deal.

Just What the Doctor Ordered
by Patrick, OK

Just what the doctor ordered, if the doctor was a chef! Was trying to recreate one of those recipes you see on Saturday afternoon for a beef stew with a thick hearty gravy. Could not find a true Dutch oven anywhere. Three local 'box stores', no luck. Cooking.com sent an e-mail sale offer that same day. Heaven sent, I tell you. It made all the difference in the world in combining meat and vegetables in the same vessel. Gravy was manna from heaven! I will probably purchase a larger version in the future.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

Dutch ovens are not only great for cooking, but they're also fantastic serving pieces. Cast iron and ceramic retain heat longer than other materials, so they'll help keep your food warm at the table. Your hungry diners can serve themselves family-style, which means less hopping up and down for you. Just be sure to put a trivet under the dutch oven to protect your table from any heat damage.
