The above skillet is a great value for the money. I was a little disappointed that when mine arrived I noticed it came in a box that originally contained two and one was removed. Well in removing the other one a chip was done to the one I received. I had purchased this as a Housewarming gift. Rather than go through the hassle of returning it; I decided to keep it for myself and will find something else for a gift. I'm just glad I decided to check it out before I wrapped it or I would have been mortified when my nephew opend it to find it with the chip. You may want to ask your personnel to be more careful when packaging your products for shipment. Thank You!
Heats evenly, cooks food thorougly to avoid burning! I would recomend it as a good chicken fryer.
Have not fried chicken in an iron skillet for quite a few years so I had to get my temp.correct so I didn't burn the chicken. Once I got the right temp. of oil; the chicken was very crispy outside and moist inside.
I was so impressed with this pan, when I fried a chicken in it. The pan retained heat after adding the chicken to it. The chicken came out crispy and moist and ahhh so good. I think this makes an excellent addition to any kitchen.
I have been using my new 3-qt skillet most everyday since I got it. I love the 3 inch depth and it is a good size. Not super big but big enough for most thing. I cook meats in it and I brown onions a lot. Works great for that. My sister gave me a gift certificate for Christmas and this is what I picked. She doesn't have one and I am thinking I'll get her one for her birthday in February. Considering that this thing will last a life-time I think it's a good value for the price. Doug Stone Lubbock, TX
Reducing a sauce? Use a skillet; its larger surface area reduces sauces faster than simmering them in a saucepan.
