I use the lime squeezer and it works way better than this. The lemon half tends to turn in the lemon squeezer and you just end up squashing it. I've found if you cut the ends off the lemon it helps to keep that from happening. But, you are out of luck if you have a large lemon (doesn't fit).

This is the best tool I have bought this year!!! I squeeze lemons and limes all the time now, to put over vegatables and in drinks. It is sooooo easy.

Even with sever arthritis in my hands, I have absolutely no trouble using this lemon squeezer. Sometimes I have to roll the lemons on the counter first. It just depends on the freshness of the lemons and whether the lemons are thick or thin skinned.

This is great - works for lemons and limes - no trouble, no muss, no fuss.
Lots of juice, no seeds, no slipping, no mess.

I then use the utility scissors to cut up peels and throw the down the garbage disposal to freshen it up.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

The zest of any citrus fruit is the brightly-colored outside of the peel. Use a peeler to remove strips of zest, but make sure not to cut too deep. You want to leave off the white part, called the pith; it's bitter.
