Laser Infrared Surface Thermometer by Maverick

I researched several thermometers and the Maverick seemed the best bet. When it arrived I had fun measuring the surface of lots of items in my house and fridge. It works great.<br><br>One of the reviewers was upset that there weren't any more instructions than point and shoot. Well, that's all you have to do.<br><br>I use it for candy making. I mold chocolate pieces. The molds have to be 80 degrees F so the chocolate doesn't stick to the mold when cooling.<br><br>I haven't had it that long so I can't comment on the longevity of the product. I like the thermometer - easy to use and very accurate

It's awesome.

Works well and I use it often. A little expensive though. I hope the price comes down pretty soon.

Unit fits nicely in the hand, displays temperature in large, easy to read numbers. Works on dry surfaces (fry pans) and wet (deep fryer). Removes entirely the question of whether the pan is hot enough or not.
