This is truly the supreme bread machine! The Zojirushi offers advanced options for your bread baking. It gives you the choice of using the dough cycle by itself, then finishing in your regular oven. In addition, you can make dough for crisp pizza crust, light dinner rolls, mouth-watering cinnamon rolls, hamburger or hoagie buns, artisan breads, sourdough, gluten-free breads and cakes - the possibilities are endless. It even makes fruit jam and has the power and durability for hearty whole grain dough. Twin paddles provide superior kneading action so you get well-raised breads with great texture.
To use, simply place your unmixed ingredients in and choose your setting. The machine alerts you once your bread is ready. The control panel is set at the perfect angle for easy viewing, and the bigger-than-ever window lets you see what's happening inside. With this model, you can open the lid during operation, for adding fruits and nuts without resetting the cycle (it keeps running with the lid open). Choose from a full set of pre-programmed cycles for a variety of breads or create your own custom cycles. You can also program in your own favorite recipes for later use. Recipe & instructions booklet included.

This is easy to use. Just measure and go. The texture of the bread is really nice and toasts up beautifully. The only bad thing is that the recipes that come with the machine have no taste.
A replacement machine for an earlier brand that kneaded itself off the counter onto the floor thereby destroying itself. So we upgraded. The manual could use some exposition.....pretty basic. The sour dough cycle for instance could use some explanation as to its use as a leavening cycle. Poolish or Briga looks possible but no mention. Three custom cycles are a great addition to the menu. I think a beginner might be a little put off by the lack of a real manual so I would consider this a good follow on machine for someone who has been making bread for some time.
The machine is easy to use and it's nice that it makes a loaf-shaped loaf. I would be happy to pay this price for a machine that made a superior loaf of bread. However, the bread was mediocre...When you make bread by hand you can adjust the flour by the feel of the dough..the machine can't do that and you end up with disappointing results.
I love this bread machine. It is the first bread machine I have ever owned, and I bought it based on the high recommendations of other users who have posted reviews on this website. I have never had any luck at all when it comes to baking bread. Plus, now we are living in Belize City, where the bread is AWFUL!! I decided to purchase a machine so we could have fresh bread that tastes good.
The machine is very easy to use, and makes a nice loaf of bread. I have made several loaves already, and they have all come out really good. I have followed all the recipes exactly, and have not had any problems at all. The only thing I don't like about it is that the bread bakes with the little paddles in it. They aren't very big, but they do leave holes in the bottom of the bread slices once it is sliced. I read that it is possible to remove them before the baking cycle begins, but I have not attempted it yet.
Also, every time I have ordered from Cooking.com, my order is shipped very quickly. I was pleasantly surprised to receive my package within one week of placing my order, which is almost unheard of, even to an APO address in another country. I will definitely order again from cooking.com, and recommend it to others.
I bought this bread machine for only one reason. I have one I've been using for about 8 years now and my daughter wanted to know if she could borrow it. I'm so attached to mine because of it's ease of use, versatility and reliability that I decided to get one for my daughter as a gift. She was not only delighted, she's used it several times a week since. There are some great recipes included, but it's so simple to operate that I often use recipes from other sources on a regular basis. It also saves me money, especially as the cost of bread has begun to rise. The initial cost of the machine is worth the investment in fresh homemade breads for all purposes!
I am loving this machine. The VHS tape that came with it was very helpful. I've made about 6 100% whole grain loaves with it. They've been a tiny bit dry, so I'm going to start adding more water, but the machine is great. Easy to use, makes horizontal loaves, has lots of optionssuch as delayed timing, active or fast yeast, dark, medium or light crust, dough or finished loaves, etc. (also jams and meatloaf.!)
This appliance has more than met my expectations although I find it a bit confusing to use (difficult to remember all the settings) since it is not intuitive and you have to keep the instructions handy all the time. Makes the best bread as compared to other bread makers though. This unit is very versatile.
This machine makes great bread and it's easy to use! I use it now to make and knead all my bread dough!
The shape of the loaf of bread is perfect! I love this bread maker.
The Zo is probably the best machine available when it comes to making Gluten Free bread. The machine has two paddles and, in addition to the regular programmed settings has the ability to remember 3 home made programs, important because most Gluten Free bread recipes only call for one rise. I make one loaf every week and they have all come out well. I would recommend this machine to anyone who enjoys fresh baked bread and highly recommend it to people who need to make Gluten Free bread.
Bought this wonderful machine about three weeks ago and have baked 18 loaves of bread. We prefer Donna German's recipe #1 for 100-percent whole wheat bread in her book, The Bread Machine Cookbook. Using King Arthur flours, I bake delicious, nutritious bread every time for family and friends. The Regal machine we used for nine years has found a permanent space in storage. Finally, the traditional horizontal loaf this machine produces has eye-appeal and taste-appeal. Meatloaf and pretzels are the next projects.
I've used the bread machine to make a few different breads in the few days that I've had it. Each time the bread comes out perfectly. Wonderful machine!
This is by far the best bread machine. I have had many different machines, but all failed w/in 2-3 years. As far as I can tell, this machine will last a long time. What makes it even better is that they have replacement parts!
This is my third bread maker and I have to say I think I finally got it right. It is easy to use and the timer is a great feature. The beeps when it is time to add your extra ingredients makes fruit breads very easy and I have yet to make a loaf that didn't turn out beautifully. I like the extra large window to check on the process and the variety of choices for dough cycles and crust colors. It is a little too big to keep on the counter all the time but it's easy to move and not very heavy.
Zojirushi is the best bread machine I have ever used. My first machine finally died after about 11 years use. I highly recommend this brand.
We haven't tried everything yet but the Italian bread with the hard crust and then the softer crust is great. My husband then slices it with an electric knife and is it great for sandwiches or french toast. We love it.

This is the king of breadmakers. I have been making bread 3 to 5 times per week for the last 11 years. We haven't bought bread for over ten years. In the last 11 years I have owned three other machines. Two of them last over 3 years each and one fell of the kitchen counter after just a few months. This is my fourth machine and quite clearly the best.
The machine is very sturdy. You can feel the quality jusb y picking it up. Two of my previous machines are still operational, but in both cases the single beater was the cause of their demise. The gasket and shaft just plain wore out. The machine has a double beater!
The addition of being able to set a timer to make dough is a huge improvement. I make pizza dough almost every Tuesday, and now I can set the timer and have the dough ready when I come home. I also make baugettes in the oven. With the dough timer, I can now have them for breakfast!
The results have been consistently excellent. I think the pre-heat cycle is a great idea and improves the quality.
Lastly, the traditional shape is nice. After years of "tall" loafs, and square sandwiches, you forget why bread is long and not tall!
I would recommend this machine to anyone who bakes more than one or twice a week. You will enjoy the quality and the convenience of this machine.
Purchased the company's original bread machine and used it
till the bowl was not staying in place anymore. Twelve years later
they do not make the bowl for replacement so I replaced the entire
machine and it is a far superior machine. Everything I make in it
whether it be dough, pizza dough, or finished bread comes out
great.
I was excited but apprehensive about this bread machine. After reading reviews decided to purchase.
First loaf tasted good but looked awful with rise and falls on top. 2nd loaf I followed the directions on what possibility caused the problems and still same problem.
3rd loaf..bought different bread flour and it was the most beautiful and tasty loaf of bread that was consumed in a flash. Since the new flour..every loaf comes out perfect be it white, whole grain or sour dough. Proud to put it on the table for company!
LOVE this Machine!!!!!!!!!
The other bread flour wasn't old but it is much heavier than the new brand. Any input?????
I bought this because my husband broke my old Hitachi. The old one worked fine - but this one is FAR superior.
