Easy to use
by Regina, NY

Very easy to use; patty releases cleanly and then press just goes into the dishwasher for cleaning-- better than those that can only be hand washed. I just feel the press is sanitized in the dishwasher, especially after using for ground turkey. Overall great value for the money.

3/4-lb. Steakhouse Hamburger Press

I have received my hamburger press and it looks like it will definitely do the job I want it to do. The press will get a workout because we always have company who are hungry for my burgers. I do like the the size and the thumbprint feature to keep a burger from becoming round on top.

This is the best burger maker I've found. The silicone releases the meat beautifully and makes uniform burgers that cook great on the grill. Best of all it breaks apart and goes right into the dishwasher for easy clean up.

This is a great product! Not very often do I buy something and have it work as easy as it says, but this definately does. Every kitchen should have one! In fact, my brother is getting one just because he loves to bbq.

my ground chuck sticks on the silicone and does not come out well. i discovered that if i slip a baggie over it it works great.

my husband uses it when we buy meat. he said it is not worth the money i paid for it, as he has seen other presses cheaper. but he does not know the quality of the others.

it is a nice looking unit, and other than the sticking works well.

use a baggie and you wont be sorry.

Not quite what I had hoped
by Michael, TX

Have had old Tupperware burger presses in the past and was looking for something similar.

My burger mixture (73/27 ground beef, salt, pepper) would not pack properly with this press. Burgers were loose and just feel apart once removed from the press. Removing from the press was not easy either after the 1st burger was pressed, even using a Canola Oil spray on the press prior to putting the meat in.

Overall was very disappointed and will shove this device into the back of cabinet until I can find some other use for it. In my humble opinion this was a very, very poor purchase for the money.

Great Hamburger Press but a little flimsy.
by Thomas, MN
July 27, 2008

This press makes good hamburger patties that are consistent in size and thickness.Only suggestion would be to make the press section out of a light metal rather than a plastic. Eventually the flat part of the plastic press will crack .I know because I had a similar one that ,in fact, cracked after about four years of use. That is the only reason I did not rate it a five.
Would definitely recommend this product though.

Perfect Hamburger Press
by Warren, NY
May 23, 2009

I LOVE IT!!!! It looks clumsy when you first take the Press out of the box. When you use the Press, you realize it is so simple and understand why it is built the way it is. All you have to do is press down and center. there are no measurement of heights or weights present to level the patties, but with time and practice you get the burgers you want in weight and size. Cleaning is absolutely so easy and simple. I love this product. Thank you Elizabeth Karmel. You sure do make those expensive burger presses look like complete rip offs.

I bought the hamburg press for my son as he's been looking for one for a long time. He likes it. But I did think it was very expensive for what you get.

it works

It worked exactly how I wanted it to. It formed denser patties than I was able to do by hand, and they had a nice round shape, held together on the grill.

Amazing
by Cathy, CA
August 20, 2011

That's right, it is amazing how you can take the same seasoned hamburger that you used to form into patties by hand but now with this press they seem to taste much better! Must be the uniformity of the patty. Plus this press is so easy to use. Love it! :0)

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

Before serving cooked meat, be sure to let it rest for several minutes. It will actually continue to cook after coming out of the oven or off the grill. Also, allowing it to rest will keep your meat tender and juicy.
