These spoons are tough stainless steel and will most likely survive in my silverware collection for years to come. I just wish they were a tad bigger is really the only complaint. Still, they make eating my daily grapefruit quite easy!
A warning should be sent with each shipment as to how to remove the labels glued on the back of each spoon. I tried and tried, soaking, scrubbing, etc. and nothing would remove that glue. Finally after soaking in warm water and dish detergent overnight and sprinkling table salt on it, I was able to remove each one with the abrasion of the salt and a Brillo pad, being very careful not to scar the steel. It was very time consuming and frustrating. I can see no reason for these to be each spoon the consumer receives. They were to be Christmas gifts along with my homegrown grapefruits but could not give them in that condition! Otherwise, I was delighted to have found these spoons on your website and the timely manner in which they were shipped.
It would be a very good price, but the shipping is more than the product. Do to this fact, I most likely won't buy much online again.
The postage was very high. It cost more for the postage for the four spoons then the spoons cost. No reason for such high shipping cost. Each spoon had a sticker on the back. The glue would not wash off. I soaked them in hot soap water for a long time. Still would not come off. I finally had to buy a $3.50 bottle of glue remover and then still had to work about a half hour to get all the glue off. So with the cost of shipping and the bottle of glue, this was a very expensive set of spoons that were nicely priced for the set to start with.
A good value but quite small - the spade shape is effective but I would have liked these better if the bowl of the spoon were longer. Also, the handles feel a little flimsy. Overall, though, not bad for the price.

The zest of any citrus fruit is the brightly-colored outside of the peel. Use a peeler to remove strips of zest, but make sure not to cut too deep. You want to leave off the white part, called the pith; it's bitter.
