Not the Classic

The knives are very sharp but they have thin blades that do not go all the way through the handle. These are cheaper in price and construction than the regular Classics.

Wusthof Paring Knives

Nice little light duty knives. The tang does not go the full length of the handle, as in the higher grade Wusthof knives, but for use as paring knives, that shouldn't be a problem.

An excellent value for the kitchen enthusiest looking to save a few dollars but still own a knife with the Wusthof name. These are slightly less sturdy that some of the individual paring knives available. Still a good choice for the family cook.

I purchased these knives for my wife. She is not one to change up on the old standbys, but I know she has changed her mind with this set. They are extremly usable knives. She said how come you could not keep my old knifes this sharp? My reply good steel, quality and workmanship give you good edges that last. Thanks for the good price and knives. Duke

I thought the quality was not comparable to all the Wusthof knives that I have bought in the past.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

Paring #2: Making a cherry pie but forgot to pick up a cherry pitter? Don't fret, a sharp paring knife will easily get the job done. Just slice the cherry in half lengthwise, gently twist the two sides apart, and pop out the pit.
