Craftsmanship has been a tradition at Wusthof for over 190 years. Quality and precision have always been the standard that we measure our knife by and our Gourmet line of stamped German knives take precision to a new level. Each knife in this line is cut from a piece of steel using a laser beam to make a perfect blade. The blade and shape on this 6.5-in. Santoku Knife resemble the Japanese Cook's Knife. It's just right for preparing sushi and sashimi - or anything else you want to slice paper-thin. The hollow indents in the blade allow food to slide right off without sticking. Also works well when dicing onions or other vegetables.

This knife is easy to use, retains a very sharp edge, and has the advantage that most things do not stick to the blade. I like it so much I bought several for Christmas presents for people I know are good cooks but have never used a knife of this configuration.

You must own one!!! Very sharp and slices through evenly. Would highly recommend, however I am not sure how to sharpen because of the hollow edges

This is an extremely good value for the best knife I've ever owned. I noticed that quite a few cooks on the
Food Network use a santuko knife for everything. I am
very pleased with mine.

We own this knife and have given to both daughters, who love to cook. Everyone agrees that it's their favorite and the one they reach for first.

I received this knife as a Christmas gift last year following my interest in trying to cook like Rachel Ray on 30 Minute Meals. I have to say that I have never owned a knife anywhere close to as good as this one is. I really am able to chop, dice and slice faster than ever. I bought this as a gift for my mother this year for Christmas and I know she will just love it. It is worth the money to have such a fine kitchen utensil. Love it.

This knife is wonderful - and SHARP!!! I am petite - and thought that this size would be appropriate - and I was right! It is heavy enough to use on more than just vegetables. Great price and value!

Love the Knife

My husband and I first noticed the knife while watching your cooking programs. We had never really noticed chef knives with scalloped edges before. My husband loves to cook and all our knives were terrible so I bought this knife for a Christmas gift. It is the only one we use!
Thank you

Although it is a little expensive, if you can afford it, you should buy this knife. It is absolutely the best knife in my kitchen. You can slice any meat as thin as you like with ease.

This knife does exactly what I want it to do. It's easy to use and fits nicely in my hand. I got the idea from the show 30 Minute Meals with Rachael Ray. She uses the Santoku knife with ease......

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

Don't you hate it when you're trying to slice a cooked potato and your knife just smushes it instead? Try using a santoku knife instead. Its blade has specially designed hollow indentations that reduce drag when cutting, so your knife will slice right through. Santokus are also great for cutting soft cheeses, slicing onions, and just about all your everyday chopping tasks.
