Craftsmanship has been a tradition at Wusthof for over 190 years. Quality and precision have always been the standard that we measure our knife by and our Gourmet line of stamped German knives take precision to a new level. Each knife in this line is cut from a piece of steel using a laser beam to make a perfect blade. The blade and shape on this 6.5-in. Santoku Knife resemble the Japanese Cook's Knife. It's just right for preparing sushi and sashimi - or anything else you want to slice paper-thin. The hollow indents in the blade allow food to slide right off without sticking. Also works well when dicing onions or other vegetables.

I have been looking at this knife and pricing it in other stores. This was the best price that I have seen. It is superior in quality too. I would definitely recommend this knife.

This knife is unbelievably sharp! I love the way it handles too, a lot lighter than some of the other Santoku knives I've used.

While I personally prefer a 9 inch chef knife, I bought this knife for my wife, who loves it. It has a nice weight and feel with a great edge.

Santoku Knife

What a great purchase with a great price! I purchased a 7-inch Santoku knife for 60% off the regular price! How could anyone turn away from that kind of savings from a reputable seller? Foodnetwork.com is my favorite website as is their television network. Delivery was fast and savings were great. I love the knife and will most certainly purchase more.

Love the knife

This knife is excellent - veggies, carving meats, I am thrilled with the results. My old knife required much too much "manpower" to cut. This knife is effortless.

This is a great kinfe, extremly sharp, well balanced and lightweight. The hallow edge makes cutting through sticky foods a breeze. It made me realize that it wasn't my tecnique that sucked when cutting, just my knife. I can cut a whole onion in half the time.

This was my second order from Food network - the first was for myself, this one was a gift for my daughter (although I had it shipped to my house). My daughter is thrilled with the knife (which is enjoying daily use). I am a big fan of FoodTV even though I am not much of a cook.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

Don't you hate it when you're trying to slice a cooked potato and your knife just smushes it instead? Try using a santoku knife instead. Its blade has specially designed hollow indentations that reduce drag when cutting, so your knife will slice right through. Santokus are also great for cutting soft cheeses, slicing onions, and just about all your everyday chopping tasks.
