Craftsmanship has been a tradition at Wusthof for over 190 years. Quality and precision have always been the standard that we measure our knife by and our Gourmet line of stamped German knives take precision to a new level. Each knife in this line is cut from a piece of steel using a laser beam to make a perfect blade. Use this 6-in. Boning Knife to remove the meat from the bone of both poultry and beef. With its long, narrow blade and pointed end, it's ideal for filleting a fish.
Nice knife and very good quality.Would prefer a thicker blade for meat and a
thinner one for fish but this model is a compromise, yet useful for a variety of tasks; meat, fish, poultry.Rather than buy two different style deboning knives,
I felt this was a very reasonable alternative at a very good price.
I usually prefer the weighted feeling of a forged blade instead of a stamped blade. But that's my only complaint with this knife. The blade is supremely sharp and holds an edge well. Full tang construction make it sturdy and the thin curved blade works exactly as expected for a small boning knife. If you can get it on sale. Buy it.
A great knife for a reasonable price. Good quality.
Overall an OK knife. The one thing that held me back from a five star rating is that in, my opinion, it did not hold the edge while dressing a PSMO. Had to clean and hone again. Maybe this is normal for such detailed work. Would, however, recommend.
