had been looking at this knife a williams sonoma after using my sisters. I was very pleased with the price and the additional knife. I'm thinking of getting more for christmas presents.

highly recommend this santoku 2 piece knife set. this santoku wusthof asian cook's set is the very best, but be very careful as these knives are razor sharp. no problems cutting anything with these knives. the smaller knife peels and cuts vegetables quickly and efficiently. for meats, poultry, fish, and cheeses.... (even very soft cheeses), i use the santoku knife. raw meats slice evenly and cooked meats are a dream to slice with the santoku knife. everything is cut so beautifully. i am so very glad i purchased this knive set, as this set has simplified my life in the kitchen and with great pleasure thank cooking.com & wusthof for this wonderful knife set.

The large knife is the standout in this set . . .it cuts well and is easy to handle. Santuku knives are my all-around favorite, and the ones I pull out for almost every cooking task.

very sharp, cuts extremely well. I was surprised by the weight of it though. It feels flimsy and in my husbands large hands, it looks more like a pen knife.

Wonderful knive set, at a great price.

The santoku is a nicely balanced blend of a chef's knife and a cleaver, serving both purposes and making chopping and slicing tasks quick and easy. Hollow-ground edge chops heavy root vegetables with ease, as well as slicing cleanly through delicate tomatoes.

The Asian Paring Knife has a flat edge that makes fine slicing of delicate items (sushi cuts, tomatoes, etc.) a breeze, and a nice complement to other paring/garnish knives.

This is the most delightful knife I have ever used. I have a set of Wustof that was purchased in 1980 and they are in perfect condition, as I never wash them any other way than by hand. Love them all, but this new one is great.

I love using this knife especially for cutting vegetables. It is super sharp and the scalloped edges reduce the times that the cut vegetables stick to the knife.

I was expecting a thicker blade, this one seems a little flimsy, but it's very sharp.

I have bought these knives for all my kids and now their kids are wanting them so this set was bought for our oldest granddaughter.

The large knife is very nice, but the small knife was a waste of money. I was suprised at how lightweight the large knife was. It requires some getting used to, although its great for chopping onions, etc.

I am very pleased with these knives. They are lighter than I expected, but I was pleasantly surprised when I used them. They are very sharp and make short work of all the slicing, dicing, chopping, and peeling tasks I've done so far. A friend of mine recently used them during a visit and kept exclaiming how much she loved the knives. Thanks for a great product.

I would reccomend these knives to anyone who wants a top quality product at a great price. I was really suprised how they sliced right through soft tomatoes with no effort, or mess.

I agree with one of the earlier reviewers - this product is not up to the standards that I am used to from Wustoff Classics - but for the price - it is an excellent product. The product is light weight, but the blade is very sharp and does a good job.

Excellent combination of knives for various kitchen preparations. Knives are sturdy and clean easily.
