Although it is a little expensive; this is a great jar for storing flour, sugars, etc. It isn't too tall to fit on cabinet shelves and the wide mouth accomodates scoops and measuring utensils easily. The screw-on lid keeps air and moisture out. I bought several for my baking supplies, pastas, etc.

Unbeatable Capacity

I went looking for a glass cookie jar with a relatively airtight lid, and found this one. It's got great capacity -- holds nearly five dozen cookies -- and because it's clear, you can always see whether or not you need to make more cookies! The cookies tasted just as fresh on the third day as they did on the first day, which was another plus. Definitely a keeper!

It was over priced. I found anotherone for less than half the price at walmart. I went to Walmart first but did not see them. They were out. After I bought one from Cooking.com I went to wallmart to buy something elst and they had them in. I bought four more.

I love this cookie Jar! It seals very well....cookies stay fresh for several days, and very large. Holds at least 3 dozen large cookies. Probably about 4 dozen smaller ones. And Really looks inviting on the kitchen counter.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

If you need a batch of cookies to last a few days, slightly underbake them, so they won't become tough and dry after the first day.
