Nothing is more important than family. Bring yours to the table with Giada's irresistibly unpretentious, authentic Italian cooking!
In her New York Times bestseller Everyday Italian, Giada De Laurentiis introduced us to the basic, fresh flavors of her native Italian cuisine. Now, America's favorite Italian cook is back with a new batch of simple, delicious recipes geared toward family meals--Italian style.
These unpretentious and flavorful meals are at the center of some of Giada's warmest memories of sitting around the table with her family, passing bowls of wonderful food, and laughing over old times. Recipes for soups like Escarole and Bean and hearty sandwiches such as the classic Italian Muffuletta make casual, easy suppers, while one-pot dinner like Giada's Chicken Vesuvio and Veal Stew with Cipollini Onions are just as simple but elegant enough for company. You'll also find recipes for holiday favorites you'll be tempted to make all year round, including Easter Pie, Turkey and Ciabtta Stuffing with Chestnuts and Pancetta, and Panettone Bread Pudding with Amaretto Sauce.
Giada's Family Dinners celebrates the fun of family meals with photographs of Giada's real-life family and friends as well as the wonderful dishes she shares with them in her kitchen. Suggested menus help you put together a family-style meal for any occasion, from informal to festive.
The heart of Italian cooking is the home, and Giada's Family Dinners--full of fantastic recipes that require a minimum of fuss to prepare--invites you to treat everyone like a member of the family.

We love her books. The way she has the sections laid out is perfect for anyone. If you need a different salad she has a superb Arugula salad with beets, avocados and goat cheese. THIS is SO delicious. A wonderful summer meal for us along with her prosciutto and melon panini sandwiches! yum yum. Enjoy this book and also her first book is wonderful too. Many different recipes in both books.
All of the books I get from Food Network come from the same distributor and arrive FAST, which I love. Great source, good stories, beautiful pictures and the recipes are easy to follow. Truly anyone can make these recipes. It brought back so many memories of my childhood with my Italian family!
Great variety, beautiful pictures, and well written, easy to follow recipes!!! I love it, Giada's Family Dinners are becoming our family dinners! I couldn't recommend this more!
I LOVE ANY OF GIADA'S BOOKS THAT I HAVE PURCHASED. ALL HER PRODUCTS ARE GOOD.
I was taught how to cook a few dishes from a friend's mother who was from Sicily. I purchased this book for some new ideas and was pleased to discover that a couple of the recipes in it were pretty much exactly the same as what I was taught.
Was disappointed that the cover of the book is not on the book itself! Other than that, it's a great book.
I think you'll enjoy this book. I have all four of her books.
This book has lots of great recipes. I already had one and just had to get one for my daughter. I even made her a list of my favorite recipes! The recipes are all very simple and use easy to find ingredients. My family absolutely loves the Pot Roast!
Pretty pictures and format. Wish that contents (recipies) could be keyed more to the TV show so we could coordinate what we saw with where to find it in the book.
This is one of my go to cookbooks. My book is splattered with olive oil so I thought it was time to buy a new one as well as another for someone to receive as a gift. I have so many favorite receipes: Chicken Marsala (I only use one T of dijon mustard) Chicken Florentine, Penne, sausage, artichokes and sundried tomatoes, farfalle with asparagus and mushrooms, and finally veal scaloppine with saffron cream sauce. All so easy to make...and absolutely delicious.
Giada does a wonderful job speaking to you in the cookbook... the same way she does on the program.
