The book is so well illustrated. I enjoy the stories of her and her family all sharing the love of cooking and eating together. Made me homesick for San Diego and all the fresh produce offered throughout the area. G Hill Central Oregon
Fresh Mexico was not what I expected. She used a lot of Seafood...Not the regular Mexican dishes. I was not pleased.
Her cookbook has a new twist on Mexican food. Can't wait to make some of her dishes.

It's a very simple book, and easy to understand.
I was hoping for traditional every day meals. This was more of a mexican cuisine cookbook. Squid and octopus are a little too much for me.
The recipes were to complicated. To many ingredients I did not have access to. No simple Mexican dishes to make like burritos, how to make tortillas, Spanish rice etc. Recipes are for experienced cooks. Don't waste your money if you are trying to learn how to make Mexican dishes that are easy.
I really enjoy watching Marcela's show (Mexican Made Easy) on the FNC... So I am very happy that this book has some of those recipes...
I have been looking for a good Mexican cookbook. I saw Marcella on "Mexican Made Easy" and knew that her book would be the one for me. The recipes are amazing! I highly recommend this book and hope she releases more soon.
Not only do I enjoy eating and cooking Mexican, but I'm an avid cookbook collector. After watching a single episode of Marcella Valladolid's cooking show, I was so impressed by the dishes she prepared, that I went online right after the show and ordered her cookbook. I wasn't disappointed! First, this is a great selection of dishes of every description that sound so scrumptious, you'll want to delve in again and again to try them all! (Most cookbooks may only have a few standouts you're tempted to try.) Second, these are authentic dishes -- in many cases family treasures passed down for generations, and fully described in loving detail with beautiful illustrations. The wonderful family stories behind many of the dishes make you feel like you have a seat at the table, while her excellent, clear descriptions help you get great results the first time. And did I mention the bargain price? (Grab a copy before she gets seriously famous!!!)

i find her recipes simple and very tasty, i also watch her show and have made several recipes.
Amazing book, easy to understand directions with specific cooking times to use as guides. The fish tacos and the rosemary chipolte shrimp are amazing! I can't wait to try more...
